My Story

ConradHees.com is a site dedicated to helping people learn new and exciting methods of marketing themselves, their blogs, and their businesses in the new Attention Age. I provide fresh perspectives on proven marketing tactics to help you adapt, grow, and develop your own personal brand in today’s extremely competitive environment.
On this blog, you will find great, informative articles on how to market and brand yourself, your blog, and your business through concepts like differentiation, business blogging, perception of value, entrepreneurship, expert positioning, self-marketing and networking, etc. I try to convey as much value in my articles as possible, and show you how to execute specific marketing techniques, not just present you with a topic or concept.
In our current climate of market saturation and fierce competition, it is imperative that you market yourself intelligently in order to succeed. I know that I can show you how to create the type of reputation and image that you want to create, and the techniques that you can use to market yourself effectively.
My name is Conrad Hees, and I am a young entrepreneur from New Jersey. I have always had a passion for marketing, personal development, and becoming successful.
I have always been an avid reader, and when I was very young, I would read anything that I could get my hands on. As I grew older, though, I fell victim to the trap that many young teenagers fall into, and began to get into trouble in school and around my town. Nothing too serious, but I was failing out of high school, fighting, and even got arrested for petty offenses a few times. My parents, knowing my potential and unwilling to let me fail, sent me to an extremely strict boarding school shortly after I turned 16. I stayed there until my 18th birthday.
Although it was very hard, I found that with absolutely no distractions, I could regain my focus. With plenty of time on my hands, I began to read book after book about personal development and business. I learned more in that 2 years than many people learn in their entire lives.
After I returned home, I enrolled in my local community college and took marketing courses. Although I am extremely passionate about marketing, I did not enjoy the courses. I found that I learned much more about marketing from reading books and articles, working for my family business, and paying attention to successful businesses and people than I could from a college professor. After two semesters, I dropped out, eager to enter the ‘real world’.
After college, I began working for my family business, and started thinking about part-time businesses that I could build with a small initial investment. I tried affiliate marketing online, a vending machine business, and a window cleaning company, all with limited success. I was very frustrated, and could not seem to figure out why I could never seem to break through. I knew that I had the knowledge and skills to succeed, but did not understand why success was not happening.
Eventually, I realized that I was making a very common mistake that many beginner entrepreneurs make early in their careers: I was starting these companies because I wanted to make money, not because I had any real passion for the business. I was becoming quickly discouraged and lacking motivation with these businesses, not because I was lazy, but because I had no real interest in the actual business. This was leading to a cycle of frustration, and I decided that I had to make a change.
I realized that in order to become successful, truly successful, there was only one way to go about it: I had to stop pursuing endeavors simply for the money, and begin to work in a field that incorporates my passions with my strengths. I knew that once I did this, success would follow naturally.
And so here I am. I began this blog because it is a perfect combination of my passions, my strengths, and my interests. I love blogging, and have spent hundreds of hours reading and studying all the different techniques out there to successfully market a blog. Now, I am implementing what I have learned. I love marketing, I love success, and I love writing. I also really love people, and enjoy teaching and helping others. I feel that this blog will be a perfect culmination of all of my passions.
I plan on making this blog an extremely valuable resource for my readers, and establishing myself as an authority in the marketing arena. I hope that you will subscribe and stay with me on my journey to accomplishing this goal. I have several great articles up already, and I plan on adding many new, thought-provoking posts in the near future.
Also, I will use this blog as a medium to convey my value and market myself for future business endeavors, some of which I am in the process of brainstorming right now. I will keep my readers up to date on my progress through this blog, as well as sharing the valuable lessons that I will learn in the process.
Some of you may have noticed that some of my early articles are a little off topic from my focus of blog and business marketing. This is because I originally wanted to write partially about personal development as well as marketing. I soon realized, though, that writing about both would take away from what I was trying to accomplish with this blog. After much deliberation, I have decided to keep the articles on personal development up, because I feel that they are still very informative, and that my readers can benefit from them. From now on though, I will stay focused on my premise of marketing, blogging and business. (With maybe a sprinkle of personal development advice here and there :) )
Thank you so much for visiting and giving my site your valuable attention. I hope that you choose to subscribe and become a part of our amazing reader community, and demonstrate your own value to this blog through the comments section. I have alot of great things lined up……I hope to see you around!
